(The owner was changed six months ago so I understand later why such an amazing restaurant has negative comments) We were traveling and needed to stop for dinner in Spartanburg—otherwise, we would have missed mealtime, as the next big town was two hours away. Among the few options, this restaurant stood out because it looked new, the dishes appeared fresh and well-presented, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. We decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience! The restaurant itself is just as cozy, clean, and inviting as the photos suggest—simply decorated but bright and well-kept. The hostess, Lida (I hope I spelled her name correctly!), was incredibly warm and welcoming—a hardworking, caring, and family-oriented woman who added to the pleasant atmosphere. We ordered several dishes, and each one was delicious and authentic: Shrimp Roll: A classic Vietnamese-style roll (her chef friend is from Laos!), perfectly fresh with a fantastic homemade dipping sauce. Green Curry: One of the best we’ve had—balanced with just the right amount of coconut milk and that distinct herbal freshness green curry should have. (My husband loved it so much, he had two servings of rice with it!) Seafood Salad: A signature dish with papaya, lettuce, baby tomatoes, peanuts, green beans, and shrimp—crisp, bright, and full of flavor. Deep-Fried Pompano Fish: Lightly seasoned (perhaps with just salt and herbs?) and fried to perfection, served with a delicious homemade sauce. We also tried their signature dessert—a delightful mix of mango, strawberry, blueberry, and sweet sticky rice (a classic Thai treat). Everything was so fresh and satisfying! The best part? The total bill, including tip, was just 50 for two—an incredible value for such high-quality food. We left completely full and happy, already planning to return on future trips.
